Camp Wegatchie Taking the long walk down to the .............. Facilities!!!! (just kidding)
We learned about fishing knots from Professor Leyden...... and practiced tying them, even the blood loop.
We caught some fish.... and even a SNAKE!!!!
then we cleaned the fish.
Starting on our 5-mile patrol hike. Little did we no that the Yellow Lake Trail was nothing more.......
than a red line on a map! Crossing over the beaver dam on the way back. 3 hours later and tired, but survivors!
We performed a conservation project for the state of New York, cleaning up 80 lbs of trash!!!!!
We also had some fun in the river, and worked on line and tender rescues.
Finally, we did some canoeing, heading down some rapids.
Of course, after running the rapids, the only way back is to wade the canoes upstream. Survivors once again!
